[C.I. 16185]. 1-(4-sulfo-1-naphthylazo)-2-naphthol-3,6-disulfonate (trisodium salt); an azo dye; a soluble reddish brown powder, the color turning to magenta red in solution; used as a food and cosmetic coloring agent, and occasionally in histology.
