A disease of cattle and swine, occasionally reported in man, caused by Actinobacillus lignieresii. It affects the soft tissues, often the tongue and cervical lymph nodes, where granulomatous swellings are formed that eventually break down to form abscesses. Syn: wooden tongue of cattle.
